Not really groundcover though @rbourne270 They aren't evergreen in the UK either. Excellent plants for late flowers, although the pink ones can be invasive in some areas. Mainly down to conditions though. The whites are better behaved. I'd agree with you @Borderline. I use excess plants for groundcover too. The slugs/birds get any strawbs, but the flowers are very useful for insects, and they come into growth so early, and stay green for so long, that they can almost be evergreen.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
