New Garden - Plant ID Second Of Three

A Friend has moved house and has identified most plants etc in the new garden but we are struggling a little on three of them.  We have ideas but can't be sure.  Here is shrub number two, we think it could be a Viburnum, if so which one.  Trying to work out which ones are worth keeping and which one have to go.  The previous owner had everything pruned back well and if it is a Viburnum then there are no flower buds to show, so may not flower next year.  These photos were taken late sept / early october, this one is now bright red all over.

  • Looks like a viburnum, though I am unsure as to which one.

I'd say Viburnum too, but it would be almost impossible to name the variety at this time of year.
It doesn't look like burkwoodii anyway. I have that, and although it isn't reliably evergreen, it wouldn't look like that just now unless you're in a much colder area than I am. It would still have a fair bit of green foliage on it, and the foliage is slightly different anyway   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thank you for your replies. I agree it's not a Burkwoodii as i have one of those.   I'm sure she'll be reading up about Viburnums and will try and work out which one it is next spring / early summer.  Don't think it'll flower until 2022 if it's the same as my Burkwoodii insofar as my Burkwoodii flowers on the previous years' growth having formed flower buds over the previous summer.  Any buds there were if any have been removed by the previous owners garden tidier!
