Plant ID please

Any ideas what this plant is please. I’ve lost the label.

I think it’s tender but has survived outside a couple of winters in a sheltered pot, facing South.

It’s deciduous and has strange pinky red flowers (none so far this year).

I was convinced it was Tipouchina ( spelling ) until you said it had pink flowers, Tipouchina as far as I know has purple blue flowers.

Think you mean Tibouchina. Leaves look a good match.

Actually, you might be right (Tibouchina urvilleana). The pinky/red colour might be the sepal on the pics I’ve found on Google with that name. (I must have missed the actual flowers!) I can now find out how to look after it - think I’ve been lucky it’s survived so far.

The majority have purple/blue flowers but l think there is at least one pink flowered variety?
