Bark mulch and 'eggs'?

Morning all

I bought a bag of bark mulch but when I opened it, I found quite a lot of tiny, clear circular balls in it. Not sure what they are - so am unsure whether to use the bark mulch on my garden bedding. Have attached photo - hope they are visible. Can anyone advise?
Thanks
Nic

Slug or snail eggs.  Don't use the mulch around anything that slimers love, such as hostas. Will be OK around most trees or shrubs with brown bark at floor level.
