Rhus typhina aka Stag’s horn sumac
Beware, it has a well-deserved reputation for extreme suckering should you ever prune it ... or even if a branch is accidentally snapped.
I love them, but have learned to enjoy looking at them in other folks’ gardens and have resisted the urge to get one of my own. 😊
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
