Unknown Fungus

Can anyone tell me what these fungi are? They appeared in my raised bed, and I don't want to clear it or eat them until I know what they are. I have looked at loads of pictures, and haven't found anything identical. I'm assuming - and hoping - that they are not honey fungus!

I don't think it's likely to be honey fungus unless the bed has tree roots under it.  I wouldn't risk eating them, without an expert identifying them as safe.  Some fungi are safe to eat but not worth it either because they taste horrid or taste of nothing.  Most fungi are beneficial in a garden because they help break down plant remains into simpler compounds which boost soil fertility.  If the sight of them offends you, you can remove and compost them, but most of them disintegrate of their own accord after a few days.

They might be one of the pink gills (Entoloma species), they are a bit tricky to identify. Possibly Entoloma Rhodopolium. But most of that species are all poisonous so DO NOT EAT!

Had another look, possibly Entoloma sericeum - Silky Pinkgill which is a grassland species. Still not edible though.

  • Thanks, very helpful!

    Evening all.
@Dovefromabove, thank you, I'm rather fungi enthusiast.

I think that they aren't honey fungus. More likely that they are Wood pinkgill mushroom (Entoloma rhodopolium).
@steephill already detected specie. There is many varieties in Entoloma family.
