aeonium arboreum leaves falling off

I recently boughT a aeonium arboreum, watered it and have put it on the glass table in my living room near bifold doors. But the leaves seem to be falling off. Can someone let me know what I’ve done wrong and what I can do to rectify it

The bottom leaves fall off, that is natural.
The main stem will grow longer but you always have a rosette at the top.
If you feel brave enough later on you can behead the rosette and pot up for a new plant. The stalk that is left will then produce new shoots at the top so you get a multi-stemmed plant!

They also aren't hardy in most of the UK, so you'll need to watch how it's kept at this time of year.
They can live outdoors in summer with the right conditions and site, but they need protection over winter, and kept on the drier side.  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
