Succulent jade drooping ??

Hi,
I did post about the same plant a while back but since then it's no better!
I repotted a little jade plant, i think that's what it is (someone suggested it was a Crassula Rubricaulis) and since then its drooped alot. It looks dry and shrivelled. It has however produced regrowth on the top.
I left it for ages without water for fear of overwatering, but have since watered it (a week ago).
Is it dead? Dormant? Does it need water?!
Thanks!

Probably a bit of transplant shock along with under-watering. They usually have an active growth period at this time of year so it's hopefully using its own resources to make and repair roots. They're tough plants and will survive rough treatment as long as they get sufficient light and don't stay wet for too long. I stop watering my jades in November usually but try watering a small amount right at the base of the plant and see if it takes it up. If it doesn't help then I'd leave it somewhere bright and fairly cool until the spring. It might lose a few leaves over the winter but it'll fly back to life when the weather starts warming up again.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Thanks! Its on a windowsill so has been getting light.
Ok hopefully it will bounce back soon !

Hi. What sort of compost did you use? It doesn't look right for a succulent.

aaah ok, so it should be fine. It looks like something coir based that's why I asked. I use a lot of grit in mine.
  • Its now got little white marks on it and some browning? Any thoughts?!
