    Lots of Ajuga has foliage that size though.  :)
    Difficult to make IDs when there's no sense of scale either.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Oh! 🤣😳 well isn’t that embarrassing! I thought they all had slightly larger leaves! I’m only basing that on the ones I’ve got which is Ajuga reptans ‘Black Scallop’.
  • Margaret please have a closer look ...I cannot see enough detail in your pic.
    Ajuga have square stems.
    With leaves opposite to each other.
    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
