Tree id

Hi my dad's wondering what tree this is planted over the road from there house.

At first he thought it was a Rowen tree but I don't think the leaves match. 

A quick Google and could it be a Cotoneaster shrub? 

Any advice would be much appreciated  :)

    We have one that we admire round here.  It seems to have a good year every other year - when it is absolutely smothered with berries.  This year is a lean year.......so looking forward to 2021 (for oh so many reasons 🤣)

    Agree. We have loads of them round here - laden with fruit.  :)
    It's why the blackbirds aren't in gardens so much at this time of year.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I have a young one of those, hope it grows into a fine a tree as that. Will probably take years though.
