Yellow leaves on my Rubber Plant
I moved a month ago and my Rubber Plant went from being in a South facing room to a North facing one. It has recently started to get yellow leaves in the lower and mid section and some leaves are curling but remaining green. It is closer to a large window than it was before but i am watering less as it is no longer hot or summer. I water every two weeks or so, after watering once a week in summer and checking that the soil is dry before i water again. I water quite lightly rather than soaking. I have moved it from the North window to a more NE facing one but it is still developing new yellow leaves. The leaves are not dry when they turn yellow, they are still pliable and soft. Is it a reaction to over watering? I was misting it every morning for the month of September as it was so hot and in a South facing room. I also added some compost in mid September. The plant is a year old, had never been repotted and i have never had yellow leaves en masse before. Some small roots have started surfacing above the soil in the last two months. Any help would be welcome!

As they are everf-green it's normal to have one or two leaves turning yellow and being replaced with new ones but if there are a few it may well be hungry so try a feed now too.
I put mine outside on a north facing terrace for the summer - plenty of light but not direct sun - and it and its ficus benjamina pal get watered from the hosepipe when I'm doing the pots of fuchsias, hostas and mints. Once the nights get cooler in early October they both come inside to south or east facing rooms as they need the light. West would be good too but not north in winter.
