  • Only spent a week up there a year ago @Dovefromabove will put it on the list next time we make it there. Otherwise it'd be a three hour drive.
Recommended route from London to Norfolk: Beth Chatto Garden, Bressingham Garden, Plantsman's Preference nursery, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, The Old Vicarage at East Ruston.
  • @Dovefromabove how do forum members get to meet like-minded others? I see no mechanism for contact yet it appears many regular posters know each other and have, indeed, met.

    Hi @rachelQrtJHBjb  😊

Have you discovered the Private Message facility?

You can either click on someone’s name and send them a Private Message or, if you go into your account (top right) you can send a private message to several folk at once.

Start off with a thread suggesting a venue and then contact details and final arrangements can be done privately.

In other years we’ve had Snowdrop Walks and visited, eaten cakes at many gardens and made real friends.

Here’s details of a previous visit

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Thanks @Dovefromabove. I will probably organise something when restrictions are lifted. Perhaps a visit to Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park?

Sound good ... I think there’s several folk within decent travelling distance 😊
