Are these worms??

Not really gardening and it's an odd one but hey ho...

These appear on the conservatory floor now and again. Can only think they appear to be worms, somehow they end up on the floor, completely dehydrated and stuck. Seems very odd though.

In the time they appear i.e. overnight they must dry out incredibly quickly.

Could they be anything else?

    Looks like it, although I'm certainly no expert.

    They must have somewhere they can get in, and then there's nowhere moist for them to go?
    You need to leave them a trail of breadcrumbs to follow to get back out.... ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Certainly not New Zealand Tape/Flat Worms you'll be glad to hear.

    It would need a better photo, including underside, but depending on size it could be Microplana terrestris.  It does look a bit flat at one end. Alternately it could be good old common earthworm,
