Its VERY strong pansy, my old man built it Not tall enough unfortunately, it was 6 feet, BUT on 5th feet posts, you can imagine how that panned out. They already made it very clear they have NO money, guess that's what FIVE holiday a year does for you. Not a good idea to go down the claims route, I did consult a solicitor, she said whatver you do DO NOT fall out, etc.
as for sending the bill, it would be argued we didn't HAVE to do it.I paid for a one hour consult, we can't paint it etc, its their property unfortunately.
Are you sure on that last point?  I know that house deeds often specify who is responsible for which boundaries. But that seems to me a different thing from ownership of whatever structures are placed on a boundary. I'm no lawyer, but it seems common sense to me that having bought and paid for fencing materials, you own them. Do they cease to be your property when installed along the boundary? What if you'd sited it three inches your side of the boundary, surely that would make it yours, as it would be entirely on your own land?
I know it's very tricky dealing with this sort of thing. All our boundaries are shared my ndn on one side claimed he did not know this in spite of the fact he was an estate agent in the area for 40 years, I told him it was not credible that he didn't know. Â
My gripe today is I have just had a letter from the NHS reminding me again to have a flu jab. Attached was a second one going on about how much it costs them to write etc, etc. I have had 3 reminders from my GP surgery by txt& email in spite of the fact that I have told them repeatedly that I HAD the jab on Sept 26th. No wonder track and trace doesn't work, they privatised medical records 4-5 years ago & that clearly doesn't work either.Â
I booked a pneumonia jab by phone then checked Patient Access online to confirm I had the right time and date. The appointment was listed as "Shingles vaccination ONLY", note the capitals. So I phoned the surgery to be told that they did both shingles and pneumonia vaccinations in the same sessions. And they wonder why people mistrust online information.
