Thank you @Fairygirl I am living in hope! Sorry to hear about the knee problems, hope yours last a good long time
I must admit I miss my long walks, too stressful round here with joggers, cyclists and children. Used to get the bus and walk in Windsor Great Park so definitely not in your league! One thing gardening highlights, knees and backs.......

It's patellar femoral pain I have @herb, so there's no cure as such. The big supports work well enough most of the time, but I just have to judge it. It's the coming down that's the problem. I was supposed to do another single hill the day after doing the one that's in my current signature pic, but the knees were sore so I had to come back home. Such is life. It's around fours hours drive away, so I can probably do it next year easily enough - if we're allowed to go anywhere. I should probably just have done it anyway and lain down for the following week !
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@herbaceous there's plenty of outside building work going on in this neighbourhood, and our arborist is coming on monday to pollard the big ash tree ... I don't see why your shed erection shouldn't go ahead. 🤞

Ah @Dovefromabove so many positive comments I am feeling even more hopeful, been living with the voice in my head for too long! Its the frustration of so many obstacles over which I have no control. That and a degree of isolation is all you need for paranoia to set in, my current earworm is
"Doomed, we're doomed......"
Haha don't know why that popped in my head but it won't go away

@herbaceous - you should be listening to R2 just now. The item about peoples' names has been hilarious A young couple just got married - one surname is White and the other is Christmas so they've gone double barrelled. You really couldn't make that up. And what a lovely young couple they were too. Good luck to them

@herbaceous ... we will all want to see photos ... we can have a virtual garden shed party for the Forum, we used to have them whenever we had something to celebrate ... or even just because ... I'm sure @Fairygirl and @Hostafan1 will volunteer to do the washing up 'cos they don't drink ... I'll bring a chaise longue for a quiet corner 'cos I don't stay up late any more ... who's going to bring the 🍾🥂 to launch the shed?

Photos there will definitely be @Dovefromabove! If it ever becomes a reality there might even be a plaque but there will be no 'launching' particularly with any large, heavy wine bottles! I've waited too long for a watertight, whole shed to endanger it in any way
I saw that news item @Fairygirl hidden amongst the soap opera that is American politics https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-54822289 Good luck to them as you say. Getting married seems to be more difficult than getting a new shed at the moment

A good idea @Fairygirl, or I could just switch off the radio and stop reading the BBC News. I have spent more time than necessary in the greenhouse of late watching my peppers, but it isn't as peaceful as it should be, NDN's 'summerhouse' which is the size of a bungalow has been built, clad, roofed and now decorated all summer long.
It is true that a watched pepper never ripens.

OH saw a physio yesterday and judging from the grunts and groans coming from the dining room where he's doing the exercises she set him, the cure is worse than the knee pain!
I'm a bit put out because when I walked up to the top of the garden this morning and just casually looked at my strawberry table, found what had been 3 or 4 late, large strawberries that I'd missed. The woodlice obviously enjoyed them.
