Plant or weed?

Photo 1: plant/weed is like low to the ground like a ground cover.

Photo 2: plant/weed is a bush about 2' high and 4' wide.

Photo 1 could be a Storksbill, maybe something like Erodium Cicutarium.

Photo 2, Not sure with the scale, and leaves not very clear to be sure, but to me, could be Forsythia or some sort of Spiraea shrub.
