Friend or foe?

I'm spotting an increasing number of these nocturnal critters on my pomegranate plants (on the soil, to be more precise). Can anybody ID them as centipedes or millipedes (my guess - two pairs of legs per segment?) and if they are likely to be a problem? I'm hoping that they can find enough to feed on without resorting to healthy leaf destruction  :o

Thanks @pansyface. That's my understanding as well - feeding on the shed foliage would be perfect behaviour. Thanks for the link - maybe Polydesmus Coriaceus aka Polly  ;)
