Passionflower from seed

I have saved and dried some seeds from a couple of fruits from the passionflower which I want to grow.  I have read so many different ways of what to do to grow them!! Is there a best way to germinate the seeds?  When is best to sow,  where and which way facing is best to plant .  I live in the South West (Exeter Devon) with SW facing  rear. Garden ,  so I know we get pretty good temps and not overly wet.  Do they need to be indoors in good light once germinated?  Thank you
