    Looks hairy enough but are the leaves a bit long?

    Some of the Heleniums look like that as young plants. Could that be a possibility?
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It looks very much like my forgetmenots here. they have leaves that long. It'll be a nice little surprise for you when it flowers!
  • It’s not calendula, I have that one all over the garden. I’m not sure about heleniums, it could be if they self seed. They feel quite soft to the touch, not crisp.
  • Thank you, @Skandi. I have some forget-me-nots with wider sort of leaves, but I think it’s probably a slightly different type. I will have to wait until they flower.
