Help please, conifer going brown

    Not just conifers either  ;)

    @SydRoy - you're an even bigger optimist than I am! That's always going to look terrible, no matter what you trim off!  :D
    I have to agree with @BobTheGardener. The other conifer ain't too pretty either, and will be sucking up all the moisture around - as will the ivy. There are some lovely conifers, but they're rarely planted with care and consideration. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
