Good luck with them next year @BobMcFish :)
Every year is a new challenge  ;)

Large pots are easier to water than grow bags, if you can get any for next year (you can use grow bag compost in them if you like) , or cut each grow bag in half across the middle to make two deep bags.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • I always use halos in grow bags, it makes a significant difference to plant size and sturdiness as you can properly bury them up to their first leaves, and watering is much easier (simply fill the outside ring). You can get them cheap on Amazon or eBay:

  • JennyJ and strelitzia. This is great advice thank you so much! Sorry for the delayed response. Mail client put your replies in my Junk folder! How rude!!! I’ve had a few strong words with my computer and given it a long Paddington stare! That’s taught it a lesson  :D

You'll find there will be lots of threads/queries about tomatoes early next year when people start sowing seed, so keep an eye out for those @BobMcFish  :)

  • You can put your mortgage on it. Thanks 😊
