    Possibly a stinking hellebore

    helleborus foetidus.

  • Thank you K67.Do you think I should get rid then,if it’s a stinking hellebore lol.
  • Seconded! They always grow in the cracks between paving because they like the limey mortar.

I love them, gorgeous subtle flowers and wonderful seedheads in the autumn ... never smelt anything unpleasant from ours.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Thank you,Buttercupdays.
  • Thank you Dovefromabove, I may just keep it then.

They are good for difficult sites such as dry shade.  They seed around and I leave them where i want them. Never invasive.
