DIY acidic compost

Does anybody know if you can mix turf mull into multi-purpose compost to make it more acidic? Like peat is acidic and turf is made from peat. Or is it just a pointless endeavour and just more reasonable to buy some?

  • You would probably have better luck mixing the multi-purpose compost with shredded bracken and pine needles. I think the "turf mull" is not worth the hassle, nor will it achieve the desired result. I would just buy ericaceous compost.
