Further growth on Buddleia - Prune?

I have a buddleia which is growing a second flush of leaves.

Am I correct that I should probably have pruned this back hard already?

    No - they produce new stuff almost all year. You can take them back a good bit at this time of year - especially if they're in a location where they might get rocked by wind as they're shallow rooted and can be top heavy, but otherwise it's a hack back in spring for them.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
