Hard pruning olive tree

We've inherited an established olive tree which is far too big for the space and blocks the view of half the garden. I'd like to really cut it back, both height and width, but this would take off most of the leaves and I don't want to damage it. Any suggestions on how best to approach this?

thanks in advance

Hello.  You can prune it into a rectangular shape - along the top and down the sides, neatened around the edges.  If you are doing it yourself, it takes a couple of years pruning to get the right shape but it won't hurt to slice off the top.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
