Patio fruit trees

Could anyone please suggest two patio fruit trees and when would be best time to plant them.  I’d like something I could eat rather than for decoration.  Maybe a plum tree.  I’ve got two very large stone pots for them and they will be on a patio that gets some sun but shade in the morning.  Thank you in advance.  🍎🍐🍏🍊🍋

    Thank you very much.  Great advice and what a good idea.  When would you plant it?? Might I best wait till after the frost. What variety of peach 🍑 tree is yours.  It looks amazing and sounds perfect for me.  Thank you

    thank you I’m from chesterfield so I’ll have a look locally and see what I find.  Definitely prefer to pick my own

    You can plant apples, pears, plums, cherries, and lemons...

    I have two Peach trees on order and a espalier apple tree and will be taking delivery at the end of this month( October ) this is a ideal time to plant in the south (new forest ) one Peach is bare root and one in pot the Apple is a two year old bare root, both Peach trees with be grown in containers on a south facing patio
