When to split geraniums...

Sorry if this has already been covered...

Just a quick query, I have lots of lovely Rozanne in pots. They've been in for a couple of years now, and I'd like to split them. Is it best to do it now as they become dormant, or wait till I see new growth in spring? Many thanks.

If I can latch on to this, how does one do it?  'Management' has a couple of pots full that she'd like to split and I haven't a clue.

Geraniums can really be split anytime, even in summer if you can keep them in suitable conditions.
Just tip out the pots and pull apart, or use a knife or similar to divide into viable pieces. Pot up, cut back, water, and leave them somewhere out of full sun etc.
