  • Missed opportunity for a pun about Lidl apples last time 😉 it just goes to show that you can have a nice enough tree but it's a false economy to buy fruit trees from a non specialist. They live long enough to warrant spending a decent amount for a well grown specimen.

    Point taken but as someone else has said, will turn out to be a "willing and enthusiastic pollinator" for the future, so maybe not all lost :smiley:

  • It's a perfectly nice tree (minus the messy graft) so yes if space is available why not keep it. It's just something I have to remind myself when impulse strikes in big box stores...it happens to all of us and we should know better 😂
