anyone know what kind of pears these are?

I have a dual variety pear tree in the garden, the other variety is conference. The conference pears are delicious but these ones are tasteless and very dry. Tried leaving them on the tree longer, tried leaving them in the fruit bowl longer but nothing makes any difference, any info would be much appreciated.

    Also have a look at the Robin pear ... another small hard pear with red-flushed fruit.
