foxgloves and Hollyhocks, when to plant?

A few weeks ago I planted some Hollyhocks and Foxglove seeds. They have now grown to between 6 and 8 inches high and looking strong. Should I wait until Spring to plant them in the garden, or can I plant them out now? My location is in Mid Wales.  Any advice much appreciated. Thank you.

I'd certainly risk the foxgloves, because they're basically indestructible, but I don't grow hollyhocks, so couldn't comment on those. Some areas are more favourable at this time of year than in spring.
If in doubt - I'd do as @philippasmith2 suggests.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I would plant both out and have done many times.

Location is always a big factor. I can't do things here that people in the south can do, but I also don't have to do the watering that folk in the south have to do either  ;)
I would often plant now, because spring is a long time coming here, and autumn is often better ground and weather wise, but the downside is that young plants will tend to be smaller, because our season is shorter.
That's why I have to wait until May to put small plants out, unless they're the indestructible kind.
    They're the kind I like best  ;)

  • Half and half is a good choice, that way I will get some of them. Many thanks all. Happy gardening.
