Chillies over the winter

Hi all,

I have some chilli plants in the house, and I'm wondering if to keep them going over winter or to chuck them out and start again from seed next year?

This is the first time I've grown chilli's and I'm not really sure what to do with them!

They still have chilli's on them at the mo.

Thanks

Rose

  • You can keep them going indoors, treating them like a house plant. Not toomuch watering, occoasional regular diluted feed, not in centrally heated room, as much light as possible.
I have kept mine going for 3 years in the past. in a unheated conservatory. They stop fruiting as the days get shorter and darker but get going again in the Spring when you should repot in fresh compost and probably a larger pot.
  • Hi @Joyce Goldenlily

    Wonderful thank you!

I will follow your advice and keep them going through the winter. I've been really pleased with them so looking forward to hopefully more chilies next year!
