Or how early to plant tulips? I want to grow them in the same pot, tulips towards the bottom and hyacinths above. What is the best compromise date for potting them? My instinct is the second half of October.
We can plant tulips now, here, but hyacinths can be planted at any time as far as I know, so probably end of the month would be ideal for you. I bought some white ones form P. Nyssen a couple of years ago, and it would have been around this time I got them. I think I just planted them when I received them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
