Good grief that photo brings back memories of when i had a house full of those. We used to grow them in the office years ago too before the "elf n safety" brigade told us we had to keep cupboards clear in case of fire !!!! Madness !!! When i moved house I had to give all mine away as this house doesn't have enough window space for very many plants, such as shame

My primary school had a couple of those on the window sill. Memories.

Hi guys I know I'm abit late but came across this post and believe I have an old-fashioned busy lizzie. It is a cutting from my grandmother's plant and hers was a cutting from her grandma
@emacheney8fmr2BGo Very nice! What's the botanical name?

Yes!  We had three of these in the house when I was little.  I haven't seen one in years.

Is this the plant seen behind the presenter @ 9:09 in last Friday's episode of GW?
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

  • Hi,
    Did anyone see it?

I remember having those in the house many moons ago.  We just put bits in water and they grew roots in no time.  I remember being so surprised the first time I saw them being sold as outside bedding plants, lol.
