Apple trees and their shade.

I am applying for another allotment plot and I have been offered two to chose from and they both have pros and cons.

One has a quarter of it in the shade of 3 quite large apple trees.

Falling leaves...less sunlight...ends of root systems..etc

Any experience please friends.

    Apologies. 

    Firstly.

    I was trying to find out if anyone had trees near or on their plots / gardens that inhibited / detracted their ability to grow stuff.

    Secondly.

    My email address has appeared on my profile in the last few days.

    ?how do I get rid of it please.

    I believe the roots cover a similar area to the spread of the canopy, so can you tell from that if the roots wil be in the ground you would be growing in?
