Weeds in newly scarified lawn

After scarifying and overseeding I have lots of weeds growing - including this in four for five patches. I know it was there in a couple of places - but it seems to have spread around the lawn.
Do i leave it until March - then kill them off and overseed in April
- or dig them out now leaving patches in the lawn
