  It is a Viburnum.
  One of the winter flowering ones such as Viburnum x Bodnantense Dawn.

  We only moved here recently, lots of plants been neglected, what's best way to prune this

  If you can post a pic of the whole shrub, that will help with advice re pruning @spiddock.
  It looks like it's been treated as hedging, rather than a shrub in it's own right. 

  It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
