    Sorry but why do you need a concrete restrained water feature when you have a beautiful natural one in the background, they don't really compliment one another

    I think your right I need to improve the situation and they don't go together.  I placed the concrete wall to hold back the soil and fix that problem.  Maybe I can hide it?  Thank for your comment

    James, your new pond and edging looks like it's sloping. Do you have heavy rains in your part of Texas, why does the pond need so much re-inforcement? The gap between the two "ponds" is probably looking foreshortened in the photo. My longing would probably to have a rill connecting the two, with a pump. Or do you live on a river, I forget...

    here is the connection.  Its coming from the ground at about 50gallons a minute and about 60degrees Fahrenheit

    I'm planning on planting along the edges.   I sprayed the edges so I can beat back the grass enough to plant some water plants

    after considering the comments i removed the concrete blocks and replaced them with native rock.  I hope this is better?

    Yes, massive improvement!  Have you considered a few small ponds on the way to the real pond?  Can you recirculate the pond water from the large pond?  So it's like a spring and small pools that naturally flow into the larger one?

    Yes its a spring flowing into large pond.  I have lots of ideas but limited time and money.  I only have time to work on it a couple days a month
