Tree Near to Septic Tank


This Cornus Controversa Variegata (Wedding Cake Tree) is planted very near to this septic tank. Is it safe to leave it there, or should I remove it? There's nowhere else to put it so would be killing it

    What is it you're concerned about? 
    We had mature cherry trees next to the septic tank at our last house [nearer than in your pic]  and a mature hedge. There wasn't any problem.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I guess I'm scared that it would somehow destroy the septic system? But I think Dogwoods are not likely to do this?
