Amelanchier flowering in september

I planted it about three years ago and it has always flowered in spring as expected , followed by leaves then berries.
I was very surprised to notice flowers on the very top growth a few days ago , is this unusual?
Im pretty sure it’s Lamarckii.

sorry photo on its side can’t seem to fix that !

Seasonal confusion after odd weather patterns.  My two new pear trees flowered a couple of weeks ago and tried to produce baby pears too. Had to nip those off to save energy.

Agreed, although it could also be worth looking for signs of stress. My cherry blossom put on one last spectacular display in late September once and then was no more, caused by overwatering as a pipe had burst and was leaking into the garden.
