Does the trampoline let the rain through? I was wondering about watering. It looks pretty and it seems as though there is some sun.
Yes, water can pass through the trampoline but we also water directly if needed.
Some of the plants nearer the back of the trampoline, towards the fence, did get a big leggy, so for some it's too shady, but there's plenty of light on the more visible side of the trampoline for the sun loving plants.
Hi @david25:17 - one thing you could do, although you'll have to tip the trampoline, or move it temporarily, and then just plant some shade loving ground cover. There are lots of bits and pieces which will be fine, and will spread, and it'll solve the problem of the c**p being left. A hideous problem when you clear ground, as many people on the forum can testify to. You also don't want that with your children playing there. Ajuga, Saxifraga urbium [London Pride] , Brunnera, many ferns, including the Aspleniums, and hardy geraniums will all do fine. There's others that people might suggest, but that gives you a few ideas. The geraniums aren't evergreen, but they provide good ground cover for a long time. Take a look at this nursery, as they specialise in shade, and you might get some more ideas. https://www.plantsforshade.co.uk/
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
