Nematodes

Hi I’m wondering if anyone can help.
i have seen daddy long legs flying around my newly seeded lawn . I want to apply nematodes but I want to be sure that this won’t harm my grass or scorch it if I apply it or over apply it , any advice would be great and when us the latest it can be applied . Thanks
I want to prevent leatherjackets and deal with them before they do any damage .

  • When is the latest it can be applied*
  • Nematodes for cranefly larvae need to be applied about now. It’s just a powder of tiny creatures that you mix into a solution with water. Over application will not damage your lawn but would be wasteful. You will need a watering can with a rose (sprinkler) with coarse holes ... if the holes are too small they get clogged up
    and blocked.

  • So it won’t damage my lawn at all? That’s my only concern ,thanks
  • No it’s not a ‘chemical’.

How long is it since the lawn was sown?   Not a good idea to walk on a newly down lawn tho ...
