Reusing for tulips

Can I plant tulips in a large pot, using the same compost which has had a rose growing in it during the summer. Thanks.

    I think it would be fine too. Tulips like a drier, free draining medium, so just make sure you have that. Nice sunny site for them too  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    bulbs are , basically, storage systems. the buds are already in there . The roots are just for soaking up water and stability. it's the feed next spring which will determine the following year.
