yellow leaves / normal?

My houseplants leaves, i think it’s an Ivy turning yellow. Is this normal in autumn or is something wrong?

    Bizarrely this can be a sign of underwatering and overwatering!

    Definitely not an ivy, more likely a Philodendron.  Leaves do eventually go yellow with age, but those leaves are not all old. Does that ceramic pot have drainage holes? If not then your plant will need to be re-potted into one that does.
    I would suggest you gently remove the plant from the pot and inspect the state of the soil and roots.  If the compost is dry, then replant and water well, then leave to drain. If the compost is very wet, then look to see if there is any sign of blackened or rotting roots and remove the damaged parts, then repot into fresh compost and ensure that the pot will allow surplus water to drain away.
    Water with care when the compost feels dry when you stick your finger into it,  and keep the plant in good light, but out of direct sunlight and away from a heat source, to allow it to recover.
