Osteospermum leaves

Good evening gardeners :) so I’ve just been looking over my osteospermum and noticed a few odd looking leaves? I’m purely curious here, they’re cheap to replace so isn’t the end of the world but would like to learn all the same  they have had no feed as I didn’t think osteospermum need feeding?

Hi - I have just cut a lot of mine that were like this, back to the ground.  They come away again.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

I think mine are bedding varieties? They were sold as such anyway, so could I still cut them back now?
