Which cucumber to growin the greenhouse

I failed this year!! to grow decent cucumbers, both in the greenhouse and outside.  Which variety would fellow gardeners recommend for next year please.  I prefer small ones.

  • We grew Patio Snacker this year.  Small and quick to develop.  We didn't like the skin, too bitter, but peeled they are lovely.

I grew one this year called Passandra it produces mini cucumbers that if you let them get "big" get to the same thickness as a supermarket cue but without the length, I've been very happy with them and they are still growing. Not bitter at all as they are an all female type (indoors)
  • I grow passandra also, and Emilie indoor too.
  • Many thanks for all the information, I might try Emilie or Passandra, they are both  now on next years list.
  • I have grown a small cucumber the last two years in the greenhouse it’s called Tiny Tot,
lovely small size and a good cropper.
  • Thanks Chrissy, will check it out.
  • Hi All

I grow the variety called "burpless" which is a great tasting cucumber and as its name implies does not repeat on you. This is a great cucumber in its own right but people with digestion problems with cucumbers are able to eat this variety.I have a dad and a sister in law that suffer when consuming other cucumbers but can take the "Burpless" variety that I grow outside every year

    Keep safe

  • I did try to grow burpless this year, but they didn't come up to much. I grew one in the greenhouse and another outside, so next year I am going for all female cu's and see what happens. Thanks for al the feedback!
  • I grew La Diva this year - an all female variety. They are supposed to be good inside the greenhouse or outside.  I grew 2 plants inside the greenhouse and have harvested about 15 cucumbers but the majority of them shrivelled up when they were tiny. I planted one plant outside and got just 1 cucumber. I had better results from Cucino last year and will sow those again next year.
