Red Abyssinian Banana - overwinter

I live in SW UK where frost is rare. I have 2 Red Abyssinian banana plants in pots in sheltered south-facing garden. I plan to cut off leaves and wrap/fleece stems and pots, reduce watering to zero and unwrap in spring. Is this suitable? I have no space to store as described in Monty’s 3 videos. If heading in the right direction, should the fleece be light-proof or should it be, say, bubble wrap-based?

TY for any advice or information.  Bosgellen
