    If they move at all, which is unlikely, you can always mortar them down too. Keep us updated once you have them all done and planted. It's always nice to see finished results, and I think it's always a great idea for simple screening :)

  • if you are going to be clearing the area a little,I would go a bit wider and put some decent weed membrane down under the troughs and a little under the gravel, it is not already under the whole area.

    Belt, braces and jockstrap .. so to speak.

    Don’t worry, I’m going for the whole gimp suit. Membrane under the entire gravel area on part of which the troughs will sit. And a layer of membrane at the foot of the troughs to corral the soil within and keep it separate from the gravel below. So double membrane in a couple of spots. Truly gimp.
