Weeding is a never-ending part of gardening.  Weeds can't be eliminated permanently, but they can be controlled.  All the advice above is good, I'd just underline that a sturdy sharp hoe is your best friend.  Use it often, and it will stop annual weeds in their tracks as soon as they germinate.  It will also take the top off perennial weeds, and steadily weaken the roots.  You can also get a hand hoe, sometimes called a scrapper, which can be better for weeding small areas between plants.
  • @Obelixx so do you just put the cardboard down and leave it until spring then? I have started today and got a really good patch done! Also went through the big compost bin that the previous owners left got some really good compost and turned it all 😊
Hope you've had a good sunday!

Yes, but it will rot and breakdown with rain and snow so best to cover with some of that compost and plant thru it.

Nature runs at its own pace and none of us can speed it up...not even you.

Make a list of what you want to do

Prioritise it and tick those jos off as you complete them

Describe what YOUR  garden will look like in Spring 2021.

Go at YOUR pace not ours.....we are all different thank God.
