It's largely about working with your own conditions @terri_stella. That's probably the hardest lesson with gardening. When I started, especially growing things from seed, I couldn't understand why I struggled. I eventually learned that watching G's World for info wasn't appropriate for where I live. Our season starts later, so trying to do things when they did it on there, meant I was heading for failure. Once I realised that I needed to do it four weeks later, or even more, it was much better. I also watched Beechgrove too, as it's designed for us up here, although I found it a bit fuddy duddy when I was younger

I get where you’re coming from - we recently moved here to the west coast of Ireland from the UK. Gardening is a challenge in these windy conditions sometimes, only a strip of water away but entirely different!
