Cherry Tree

I bought two bare root cherry trees a couple of years ago. One has done well but the other was struggling and didn't like the spot I had chosen. I lifted it in the winter and replanted it in a large tub. It is still stunted although it produced a couple of flowers and one solitary cherry. Last week I was astonished to see that it is flowering again. Should I pull off the flowers or hope it will produce more in the spring?

  • Thanks Pansyface. The pot is pretty large but I suppose inconsistent watering is probably the reason. Plus stress. My stress of course. I have also bought this spring, three pot grown Ballerina trees. Apple, Cherry & Pear. I have been fairly diligent about watering and training them so let's see what occurs next spring.
